Wedding FAQs

I want you to make my wedding cake, where do I begin?

Congrats! We’re happy to help! So first things first, refer to our “Weddings” page for information on what we need from you before you send us a request! Next step would be to fill out the wedding request form. Once we have talked back and forth a bit, we can schedule a tasting. If everything goes well after the tasting, we will just need a contract signed and a $100 deposit made to secure your date, easy enough!

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

The earlier the better! For weddings, try to start planning around the 8 to 6 month mark, but again the earlier the better to secure your spot! Please have your date and venue secured before reaching out to us.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Absolutely! Isn’t this the best part about planning a wedding? Our in person consultations start at $100, and if you end up booking with us and your order is $500+, this $100 payment will act as your deposit to secure the date! We do also offer a to-go option that begins at $25.

Do you deliver my wedding cake?

Yes, we prefer to deliver ALL wedding cakes, but if you would like to pickup, we also offer this. Please read the fine print in our contract before deciding to pick up your wedding cake.

How many people can attend the wedding cake tasting?

If you wish to bring guests along with you to your wedding tasting, there is a 6 person limit (including yourselves) and the price would be $20/per guest. For example, if you want to bring 4 family members, this will add $80 to your tasting fee. This fee will NOT be applied to your balance, this is an ADD ON cost.

Do you make fake cakes?

Yes! We highly recommend them due to logistical reasons, not only for us, but for caterers! The way we make our fake cakes is by doing ONLY 1/4 of the bottom tier real for you to cut into for pictures. It will still be taken into the kitchen after cutting, so no one will even know it is fake! Fake cakes do tend to cost a little less due to less labor and work of cutting and stacking a real cake. All of the servings for your guests will then come from sheet cake and/or cupcakes. One of the biggest appeals of doing a fake cake, is that each slice of sheet cake comes out more clean and uniform when plated vs. coming from a stacked cake.

Do you make sheet cakes for weddings?

Absolutely! Our sheet cake sizing is flexible, and we can accommodate however many servings you need with 1, 2, or sometimes even 3 sheet cakes for large weddings!

Can we save our anniversary tier?

Of course! If you end up doing a fake cake, we will have a duplicate of your top tier boxed and ready to take home after the wedding! You can also choose to purchase a replicated version of your top tier for your one year anniversary.

Do you rent out cake stands?

Oh yes! We have so many cake stands available for rent, and the inventory is ever growing! You will pay 3X the rental cost before the wedding, and then once the stand is returned to the bakery undamaged within the allotted 4 day time period, you will get 2X the rental price refunded.

Do you make grooms cakes?

We do! If wanting to have a grooms cake, please be prepared with pictures, flavors, and servings needed to we can quote this for you!

How tall will my cake be?

Each tier of our cakes are about 6+” high, so depending on the amount of tiers, it could be 6”, 12”, 18”, etc!

Do you make sugar flowers?

We do, however they become rather expensive due to how labor intensive they are. We typically work with fresh flowers (supplied by your florist) and place those on your cake upon delivery!

Do you supply a cake topper?

No, if you are looking to get a cake topper, we recommend Etsy! The only “toppers” we make are fondant figures of dogs, cats, the couple, etc!
